A once robustly vigorous man

Facing a world closing down

Constantly breathless, unable to rise 

Ingesting no food and water 

But exercising the two things he can,

Raising his arms as if dumbells attached 

And rhythmically clucking his speech drills 

Maximizing life’s delight with his remaining abilities 

Not giving up, and 

Embodying the wondrous human spirit.
